- Ummeed Ek Asha
Ummeed Ek Asha Social & Environmental Welfare Service is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and is a non-profit voluntary organisation registered under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act 1956. It works primarily in Bihar and to some extent extends benefit to the poor and needy in other parts of the world as well. Ummeed Ek Asha is a task-oriented organisation and is driven by a lady who has a kind heart and a commitment to do good to society. Currently she is supported only by her husband and some friends with the common interest, and the NGO has performed a variety of service for the poor in a small but steady manner. Ummeed Ek Asha has been organized around fighting to prevent Child Abuse and Child Labour, Focus on Environment and prevent pollution. The organisation also aims at educating the adults and bring harmony in their lives through education and improving their level of confidence mainly in rural Bihar and also help by moving people away from substance abuse and getting addicted to socially acceptable habits like drinking alcohol and smoking. The organisation aims towards establishing relationship with relevant agencies of the United Nations and other large charitable organisations to help fight the big battle in the respective areas. Today the organisation is small and needs to be helped by like-minded people to benefit the society at large. There is a lot to do and the lady behind the organisation is committed to make it happen.
